    Frequently asked questions

Do I need to know the alphabet before I start?
No. The first two lessons teach the letters, the final forms and the vowel signs. Every Hebrew example in the course is vocalised and transliterated, so you can follow from day one.
In what order should I take the lessons?
Top to bottom. The path goes from reading to the building blocks of a sentence and then to the verb system. Each lesson ends with links to the ones that build on it.
    Is the course really free?
Yes, all sixteen lessons, the checks and the games are free and need no account. A free account adds XP, streaks and a review of the words you missed.
How long does the whole course take?
About two hours of reading, plus as much play as you like. Most learners do one lesson a day and repeat the games until the words feel automatic.
