You don't work for us you run your own practice

Hemy doesn't set your rate, doesn't dictate how you teach and doesn't require fixed hours. We're the infrastructure behind the scenes; the business stays yours.

    Your students

A student who starts with you stays with you. You build a long-term relationship and follow their progress over time not a queue of one-off lessons.

    Your rate

You set the price for private lessons and for group lessons, and change it whenever you want. There's no fixed platform rate and no haggling with students.

    Your hours

Open only the slots that suit you. One lesson a week or a full schedule it's your call, and you can change it any time.

    From anywhere in the world

All you need is a computer and a stable connection. Tel Aviv, Berlin or Buenos Aires same calendar, same students.

    The platform

You teach. Everything else runs itself.

All the admin around the lesson is already built, so your time goes into teaching instead of reminders, spreadsheets and chasing payments.

    • Calendar and availability

Set your time slots and students book themselves. Google Calendar sync and a lesson link created automatically.

    • Student records

Lesson history, vocabulary, tasks and progress all in front of you before every lesson.

    • Built-in messaging

Chat with your students inside the platform, without sharing your personal phone number.

    • Teaching tools

A shared whiteboard, homework and tasks, stories and games you can send in one click.

    • Automatic reminders

For you and for your students, before every lesson. Fewer no-shows, fewer empty slots.

    • Organized payments

Students buy credits up front, a completed lesson is credited automatically, and you request a payout whenever it suits you.

    The process

    How it works

Four steps from the moment you decide to your first lesson.

    1. 1

      Send an application

A short form: who you are, what you teach and to whom. No CV, no paperwork.

    2. 2

Get approved and build a profile

We review your application within 48 hours. Once approved, add a photo, a short bio and an intro video.

    3. 3

      Set your rate and availability

Define your price per lesson and open the hours that work for you. Everything stays editable.

    4. 4

      Teach and get paid

Students book directly in your calendar, the lesson happens online, and your earnings accumulate until you request a payout.

What a profile that fills up looks like

Your profile is your storefront. This is how it looks to a student searching for a teacher and what belongs in it.

    • A focused bio: who you're right for and what a student gains from your lesson.
    • Subjects and levels laid out as tags.
    • Up-to-date availability and a clear price per lesson.
    • Reviews from students after your first lessons.

    The Hemy app

Your students keep practicing between lessons

A student who practices between lessons arrives better prepared and stays longer. The app does that for you, without you having to chase them.

    • Lesson vocabulary moves into the app

The words you add become practice and games on your student's phone.

    • Reminders and daily streaks

Gentle notifications that keep students consistent between lessons.

    • Progress comes back to you

See in your dashboard what was practiced and what's still weak, and aim the next lesson accordingly.

    FAQ

What teachers ask us before they sign up

And if a question is still open we're available on WhatsApp.

What does it cost to join?

Joining is free. There's no registration fee and no monthly charge. The platform takes a fee only on lessons that actually took place, and it's shown to you up front.

Do I have to commit to minimum hours?

No. You open only the slots that suit you, and you can close your availability for a period without losing your profile or your students.

    How do students find me?

Your profile appears in the teacher search on the site, and we bring students in through marketing, community and referrals. A complete profile with a video and up-to-date availability gets significantly more enquiries.

Who sets the price per lesson?

You do. Your private and group lesson rates are set by you in your profile settings and can be updated at any time.

When and how do I get paid?

Earnings from every completed lesson accumulate in your account. Whenever it suits you, send a payout request from your dashboard and see exactly which lessons it covers.

What happens if a student cancels?

Students buy credits in advance, and the cancellation policy is shown to them when they book. A lesson that isn't cancelled in time is charged according to that policy.

Where do the lessons take place?

Online. A lesson link is created automatically when the lesson is booked, and the platform also includes a shared whiteboard, tasks and lesson vocabulary.

I don't live in Israel can I still teach?

Absolutely. Some of our teachers teach from abroad. All you need is a stable connection and hours that work for your students.

Do I need to be self-employed for tax purposes?

Teachers on Hemy are independent contractors, not our employees. Reporting and paying tax in your country of residence is your responsibility.

    How long does approval take?

Usually up to 48 hours from the moment you apply. If something is missing, we'll get back to you by email.
